Your arsenal will help you complete the game’s different modes such as the free GTA Mode or the more guided Bosses mode.

By mixing and matching a lot of different features, it’s no longer fair to call it unoriginal. Its interface font is inspired by Grand Theft Auto. Meanwhile, every stage starts with jumping off a plane, similar to most battle royale games. Aside from Huggy Wuggy, other popular characters you get to face in this game include the Squid Game Doll and GlamRock Freddy from the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise.

Still, a game of this scale isn’t free from a problem or two. One notable issue is that the aim is not on spot. It features a crosshair to guide your aim but somehow, your power doesn’t hit where it should be. Of course, playing the game for a time will allow you to make adjustments but this issue misses the point of having a crosshair.

More than a mish-mash of different video game franchises, Poppy Rope: Playtime Squid manages to be an enjoyable experience by abandoning reason.
